Lonely Man

Lonely Man

Lonely man, let me be the window to your soul.

Open your mind and let me see what has made you so cold.

Lonely man, oh, lonely man, you will always be

A very, very, very lonely man if you follow me.

Lonely man, in action, is a bludgeon of our time,

Breaking down accepted norms and social pantomime.

Though, in the eyes of fellow men, he’s treated with disdain,

A brighter ray - enlightenment  - has bent and touched his brain.

He and I are only two and, yet, we are but one.

Our backs are turned towards the shade, our faces to the sun.

Lonely man, oh, lonely man, you will always be

A very, very, very lonely man if you follow me.
