Emerald Man

Emerald Man

Trailing love, like a cloud, through the universe,
Seeking one, called The Ruby Queen.
Crystal stardust on his forehead, emerald fire in his eyes,
Seeing ages as a moment in time.

Born the sun prince to a sun king in the Emerald Realm,
Near immortal, of the Order of Guardians.
When his planet was laid waste by roving furies through space,
He, alone, lived through disaster to eternity.

Going from my mind

Going from my mind

I took the bits and pieces of an old life and put them in a travel bag.
Then, I crossed the Sea of Change, just to find the same old drag.
I couldn't ride the wave they're on, and it nearly blew my head.
They spoke with marbles in their mouths and I'm still wondering what they said.

Chorus:
But, the madness is going - the way is coming clear -
The madness is going, is going from my mind.

Sometimes when things were really going bad, I'd blow it all and go and drink in bed.
But, lying there and simply getting drunk, I'd wish that I were dead.
And all I wanted was to play my songs and no one stopped to hear.
With all the hazy, crazy livin' goin' on, you'd think the end was near.

Chorus

Six million people live in Rio de J. and everybody calls it home.
Six hundred thousand nubile girls in a land of silken sun and sea foam.
I'll take you up to the Norther Zone where the death squad leaves them grievin';
We'll take a rush-hour bus through town and, if we get back, you'll know just why I'm leavin'!

Chorus
